EWING, NJ- The State University of New York at New Paltz swim were action yesterday for day three of The College of New Jersey Invitational. The host Lions of TCNJ took first place with 1416 points on the men's side and 901.5 points on the women's side for another first-place finish. The SUNY New Paltz women's and men's team(s) came in fourth place with 596 and 338.5 points respectively.
Sierra DePry finished fourth in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 54.69. Kirsten Giovanniello finished third in the 200-yard fly in a time of 2:14.82. Amanda O'Brien finished fourth in the 1650-yard freestyle in a time of 19:18.83. The women took seventh in the 400-yard freestyle relay (Alexandra Kassian, O'Brien, Kelly Donlevy, and Shannon Corr) with a time of 3:49.47. Antonio Vavalle took seventh place in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:12.52. The men took eighth in the 400-yard freestyle relay (Venn Engstrom, Paul Castner, Steven Macaluso, and Vavalle) with a time of 3:18.73.

The Hawks will be off from competition for the next six weeks and will return on January 20 for a SUNYAC dual meet against SUNY Cortland in Cortland, NY.
