Syracuse, NY — The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its weekly award winners Monday with sophomore
Rachel Eisert earning her first career SUNYAC Athlete of the Week honor.
Eisert, from Bellmore, NY, aided in two, 3-0 wins for the Hawks this past week over Bard College and SUNY Potsdam. In 41 minutes off the bench against the Raptors, Eisert totaled four shots, two on target including the game's third goal to solidify the team's third win of the season. Eisert earned the start against the Bears Saturday and in 53 minutes played tallied five shots to lead her team, while scoring the game-winning goal in the opening sixth minute off a set piece by teammate
Emma Voege.
Eisert currently leads her team in points (8), goals (4) and shots (17) on the season. She and the Hawks return to South Turf Field Wednesday for a 4 p.m. SUNYAC match against SUNY Plattsburgh.
