Oswego, NY — The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team was on the road today against SUNY Oswego. The Hawks picked up their second victory of the season defeating the host Lakers 8-1.
"Had to concede #2 doubles, Isabel van der Veen injured her ankle during the game. A very strong and patient performance in both doubles and singles play saw us win our two remaining doubles matches and our six singles matches. Congratulations to Olivia Kunz on winning her first collegiate tennis match bringing home the #6 singles spot 6-0, 6-0," said Coach Rob Bruley.
The Hawks will return on September 16, when they continue their Western New York tour at SUNY Cortland for their next SUNYAC match. The matches will commence at 11:00 AM.
