Saratoga Springs, NY — The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team was on the road this evening against Skidmore College from the Liberty League. The Hawks lost their second match of the season to the host Thoroughbreds 0-9 at the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center Courts.
"We continued our Liberty league match ups playing last season's Liberty league champions Skidmore. The match started with 3 very competitive doubles matches against very high-level opponents. I was extremely happy the way we performed and stayed aggressive throughout the match. Playing this level of competition will only make us stronger and will prepare us for our 4 remaining conference matches," said Coach
Rob Bruley.
The Hawks will return tomorrow, September 30, when they head up interstate 87 to play conference foe SUNY Plattsburgh at Noon in Plattsburgh, NY.
