Plattsburgh, NY — The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team was on the second day of their road trip up north against SUNYAC foe Plattsburgh. The Hawks got back on the winning side defeating the host Cardinals 9-0.
"Another all-round solid performance after 2 tough road matches. I was really impressed the way all 3 doubles teams took care of business. All 3 teams played with an aggressive attitude. The battle in singles came at our 5&6 spots with
Amirah Alston winning a 3-set match at #5 and our freshman
Olivia Kunz winning a tough match in a 3rd set tie breaker. We are now all looking forward to concluding our fall season and conference play in Binghamton where we will be playing Geneseo, Fredonia and Brockport to decide the conference championship seedings," said Coach
Rob Bruley.
The Hawks will return next week, October 5, when they travel to the Binghamton Tennis Club to play a series of conference matches. SUNY Geneseo will be the Hawks first opponent at Noon in Binghamton, NY.
