Orlando, FL — The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team was on the road once again for day two of their annual spring break trip. The Hawks were in action today against St. Olaf College from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Hawks were topped by the Oles 3-6.
"Another tough matchup saw us fall 3-6 to St Olaf. Our 1&2 doubles team really got the match off to a great start winning close matches 8-5 and 8-4 respectively. Going 2-1 up into the round of 6 singles we knew we were in for a battle. That was the case with 3 of our six singles matches being decided by 3rd set tie breakers. Our only singles win was freshman Olivia Kunz winning a tough 3 set match 6-1, 3-6, 10-7. Really happy the way we played today with every player leaving it all out on the court in a tight highly contested match.," said Coach Rob Bruley.
The Hawks will cap off their spring break series tomorrow, March 28, against DePauw University in Orlando, FL.
