New Paltz, NY — The State University of New York New Paltz men's soccer program announced its incoming class for the 2024 season.
The 10 incoming Hawks look to add depth to a young, promising roster for coach
Kyle Clancy. The team boasts possibly its deepest and most versatile group, as the program looks to move past the first round of the SUNYAC Tournament for the first time since 2012 and compete for its first conference title in nearly 60 years.

Dhanoolal, hailing from Tarrytown, NY, was brought in to score goals for the Hawks. After the graduation of
Brandon Davenport up top, Dhanoolal will pair well with rising sophomore
Yare Harris who broke out in his first year.
Dhanoolal was a four-year letter winner at Irvington High School, named All-State, All-Section I and All-League twice over his four-year career. In his last two seasons for the Bulldogs, he totaled 43 goals and 26 assists, while finishing top-5 in scoring as a junior in 2022 in the lower Hudson Valley.
"There are many reasons why I chose New Paltz," Dhanoolal said. "I really liked the campus and the experience of meeting the soccer team and the location was a perfect distance from my home. They also have a great business program. The combination of the academics, beautiful campus, strong soccer team and close location made SUNY New Paltz the perfect choice for my family and I."
Dhanoolal played club for New York Soccer Club and plans to major in Finance at SUNY New Paltz.

Katz is a sophomore goalkeeper transfer who spent last season at Queens College. He totaled more than 110 minutes played for the Knights with one start, earning a win in that start, while averaging 2.44 goals-against as a freshman.
Prior to his collegiate career, Katz starred for Amityville Memorial High School and was a team captain and three-year letter winner. He started in all 22 games as a senior, helping lead his team to a League VI, Suffolk County Class A and New York State Class A title. During the championship run, Katz was a vital part of a 20-1-1 season where he posted 12 shutouts on the year, including in the state championship victory. Following the stellar final season, he was named as the League VI Goalkeeper of the Year, All-Suffolk County and a Newsday All-Long Island Second Team recipient, while also being regarded by local coaches as one of the top-five keepers on Long Island.
"I chose New Paltz because of the growing soccer program, which I believe will compete for a championship this season," Katz said. "I also chose New Paltz because everyone who goes to NP that I know loves it there."
Katz isn't the only one in his family to play soccer collegiately, as his dad, Brian, starred for Southern Connecticut College for two seasons. Katz plans on majoring in Education while at SUNY New Paltz.

From Huntington, NY, Lizama will be added to the Hawks midfield line where they look to re-stock after the departure of a couple starters from last season. Lizama looks to be a plug-and-play player with experience leading, as he was a four-year starter at Huntington High School and was an All-New York State selection while guiding his team to a Suffolk County, Class AA Championship appearance, along with being named team captain for his squad.
"New Paltz has a very reputable and strong business program," Lizama said. "I have the opportunity to get involved in many networking opportunities for an affordable price and having the money making the city on two hours away for future career opportunities. Lastly, having the opportunity to play for a great soccer team with fantastic players and a great coach will allow me to take my soccer abilities to the next level."
At the club level, he starred for Massapequa Soccer Club and was a part of their U16 Livio D'Aprine Cup title and New York State Championship.
Cameron Mingle '28

Mingle will be another added addition to the Hawks midfield, as he too was a team captain and a four-year starter for Columbia High School. During his time starring for the Blue Devils, he earned All-League honors three times and was an All-Conference and All-Suburban Council pick twice while aiding in a Section II, Class AA Finals appearance along with a Section II, Class A Championship in 2022.
"I chose New Paltz for its exceptional academics and its competitive soccer program," Mingle said.
The Wynantskill, NY native played club for FC Dutchmen Premier. He plans on majoring in business at SUNY New Paltz.

Molina is a Division I transfer from University of Rhode Island, looking to make an immediate impact as he will help solidify SUNY New Paltz's back line. He saw some action during his first four seasons at URI, red shirting for his first two.
A local high school star, Molina was a four-year starter for John Jay-East Fishkill while serving as a two-year team captain during his junior and senior seasons. While with the Patriots, he was a named as an All-Section I and All-State selection in 2019 and led the team to back-to-back conference titles, along with consecutive appearances in the Section I, New York State semifinal game.
Molina played club for Quickstrike FC, serving as a team captain his last two seasons. He aided his club to an undefeated season in 2019 along with an NPL and ESPN Disney Championship title.
Molina plans on pursing his master's in business administration while at SUNY New Paltz.

Pineda will also add depth to the Hawks midfield, as the Newburgh, NY native starred for Our Lady of Lourdes for two years on its boy's varsity program where he helped the team to a Section IX, Class A Finals appearance. He was awarded at the end of the season with a Poughkeepsie Journal All-Star nod.
"I chose New Paltz for its promising soccer program and education," Pineda said. "I know I will be able to succeed here at New Paltz."
Pineda was a two-sport athlete growing up, competing in both rowing and soccer as an underclassman at Lourdes, while playing club soccer for Quickstrike FC.

Stewart will aid in the Hawks' attack, as the Westhampton, NJ native will see time both as a forward and midfielder for Clancy's program. Having a wealth of experience both at the varsity and club level, Stewart helped Rancocas Valley High School to a NJSIAA South Jersey Group Four semifinal as a senior and was awarded as a South Jersey Olympic-American Conference All-Star along with being named Second-Team All-Conference and the Unsung Hero Award winner by season's end.
At the club level, Stewart starred for Medford Strikers 2006 Academy Boys and competed as a State Cup quarterfinalist for three-straight years, including a semifinal appearance in 2022. He helped his team to a EDP Cup Spring Championship in 2023, along with a USYS Regional Showcase title in 2024 and was named as a ODP Regional selection.
"I chose SUNY New Paltz because they offered the programs I wanted to be involved in during college and I like the environment that the school has in Athletics and Academics."
Stewart plans on majoring in Political Science while at SUNY New Paltz.

Viebrock will also be a welcome addition to the Hawks' forward line this fall. The Hopewell Junction, NY native starred for John Jay-East Fishkill and had a breakout year as a senior in 2023, being named as an All-Section I, All-League, and a Pouhgkeepsie Journal All-Star, while helping the Patriots to a Section I, Class AAA Quarterfinal appearance.
"I chose New Paltz because I want to finish my soccer career at a school close to home and family," Viebrock said.
He also starred alongside teammate Dominick Pineda on Quickstrike FC. He plans on studying business while at SUNY New Paltz.

Joining fellow Quickstrike counterpart Viebrock on the Hawks' forward line, Zindler will be looked upon to also enhance SUNY New Paltz's offensive out-put. The Wappingers Falls, NY native starred for Roy C. Ketcham High School and earned All-League and All-Section honors as a junior and senior, along with being a two-time Poughkeepsie Journal All-Star select. As a senior he was also named League MVP and was a Poughkeepsie Journal Elite 11 honoree along with being a NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete recipient.
"I chose New Paltz because I felt that's where I can achieve the most," Zindler said. "I am able to further my business academics at a great school along with playing soccer competitively."
Zindler plans on majoring in Finance while at SUNY New Paltz.

Tait transfers to SUNY New Paltz after spending a season at Division I NJIT. Tait will provide another veteran presence on the Hawks' defensive line.
Prior to NJIT, the Staten Island, NY native helped lead Monsignor Farrell High School to their first CHSAA Intersectional AA Championship in more than two decades. He was the hero of the match after scoring the go-ahead goal in the championship game against Archbishop Stepinac.
Tait played club for Cedar Stars FC with his team qualifying for the U17 MLS Next Playoffs. The rising sophomore plans on studying business while at SUNY New Paltz.
