New Paltz, NY - Memberships for the Spring 2026 semester are now available for purchase.
If you are renewing a Fall Membership, please call the CAS Office (845) 257-3043.
Memberships are for the entire Spring semester, January 12th - May 15th. A reminder that as we await renovations to Elting Gym, we are no longer offering annual memberships at this time for Elting Pool Community Swim.
In order to enter and use the facilities, proper authorization is required. Anyone wishing to use the Athletic & Wellness Center must purchase an AWC membership or be a current student of full-time status at the College. Patrons (faculty/ staff, alumni and extended College community) who purchase a membership will be provided a colored card, which will provide access to the facilities.
All users are
REQUIRED to carry their ID card with them at all times while in the facility. Current New Paltz students are also required to show and carry proper identification (NP ID) while using the facilities. For those who forget their college issued ID, they will not be permitted into the Athletic & Wellness Center.
There are NO GUESTS allowed into the Athletic & Wellness Center at any time.
Please note: There is a difference between being an AWC member and being an Elting Gym member. You need to pay for an AWC membership which includes Elting Gym. There is no membership fee for an Elting Gym membership.
Parking:
Everyone who wishes to park on the SUNY New Paltz campus must have a valid parking hang-tag or visitor permit. This hang-tag may be used in the registered vehicle to park on campus. Application for Parking Hang-tag are found below:

You will need your vehicle registration, driver's license and payment. Visitor's permits may be purchased for $3 per day at the parking pass kiosks at the entrances of the campus. Both parking tag options are separate costs that are in addition to membership fees.
