New Paltz, NY — Each week, student intern Jackie Arriaga takes a look back at some of the most stand-out statistical numbers the Hawks had throughout the spring.

1:34.00: The time
Jack Wirth,
Alex Gorzula,
Jack Samko and
Venn Engstrom finished the 200-yard medley relay at the SUNYAC Championship earning bronze.
21.24: The time
Jack Samko finished the 50-yard freestyle at the SUNYAC Championship. Samko touched the wall in third place, earning the bronze medal and improving by 0.08 seconds from his prelim time. His performance helped the Hawks secure 16 points in the event.
16:35.05: The time
Antonio Vavalle finished the 1650-yard freestyle at the SUNYAC Championship. Vavalle touched the wall in third place, earning bronze and securing 16 points for the Hawks. His time was nearly 10 seconds faster than his prelim performance.
57.47: The time of
Alex Gorzula's 100-yard breaststroke at the SUNYAC Championships. Gorzula touched the wall second, earning silver and breaking a 9-year-old program record set by Ryan Lindgren in 2016. He dropped 0.49 seconds off the previous record, earning 17 points for the Hawks.
2:06.06: Alex Gorzula broke another program record this weekend in the 200-yard breaststroke. Gorzula dropped .26 tenths of a second from Marton Keri's 12-year-old record earning another silver medal.
15: The number of rebounds
Julia Sabatino grabbed in the women's basketball final home game against Oneonta Saturday night. Sabatino contributed 14 points, tying for the game high, helping the Hawks secure a 58-48 win against the Red Dragons.
18: The number of regular season wins for SUNY New Paltz men's basketball, the best finish in program history. The Hawks capped off their regular season with a 78-68 victory over Oneonta on Saturday night, securing a top seed in the postseason for the first time in program history.
Mitchell Cumings led the charge with a team-high 16 points, going 7-for-8 from the field while grabbing six rebounds and adding two assists.
90: The men's basketball team's free-throw shooting percentage against Oneonta on Saturday. The Hawks made 18 of 20 foul shots to help secure their 78-68 victory.
A.J. Knight knocked down all four of his attempts, while
Mitchell Cumings sank both of his free throws, helping the Hawks seal the win.
