New Paltz, NY — Each week, student intern Jackie Arriaga takes a look back at some of the most stand-out statistical numbers the Hawks had throughout the spring.
Take a look at some standouts below:
17: The amount of points
Isaiah Rivera had against Oswego Tuesday night in the Hawk
Center. The freshman contributed to the 73-52 Win Over Oswego to help his team stay atop the league standings while splitting the regular season series.
4: The number of consecutive wins the men's volleyball team has strung together since coming back from its California trip. The Hawks earned their fourth-straight Friday night. They earned a 3-1 win against Rutgers with
Nikko Tenedorio contributing a game-high 14 kills and 20 points.
10:49.40: Antonio Vavalle's time in the men's 1,000-yard freestyle. Vavalle touched first in the event, helping the men secure their final dual meet victory of the season against Oneonta, 104-101.
10: The amount of kills
Matt Teplansky contributed to the match against Kean in the Hawks' home opener. Teplansky delivered a crucial kill off a set by
Daniel Shanley to help SUNY New Paltz side out and regain the lead, his play was key in the Hawks' first victory at home.
11: The number of minutes it took
Alex Krupinski to score a season-high 13 points to aid in men's basketball's victory over the Lakers on Tuesday, Jan. 28 in the Hawk Center. Krupinski shot 3-for-5 from beyond the arc and his early contribution to the game led the Hawks to victory. He was seen signing autographs with local youth supporters post-game following the season-best performance.
