New Paltz, NY — Each week, student intern Jackie Arriaga takes a look back at some of the most stand-out statistical numbers the Hawks had throughout the spring.

176: The number of career hits Jackie Rometo accumulated; surpassing Hall of Famer Lauren Motzkin's previous record held since 2008 to become the all-time hits leader in New Paltz softball history.
4: The number of games Lexi Atwater has scored at least six goals in a single game, which included Saturday's win for women's lacrosse over Fredonia where the junior totaled a game-high six goals in the 17-10 win.
10:47.26: The time set by the women's cross country 4x800-meter relay team of Marcella Candlin, Jazmyne Daily-Simpson and Orquidea Briceno, finishing sixth and recording the third-fastest time in program history at the Ramapo College T&F Invitational on Saturday, surpassing the previous 2013 mark.
27: The career-high number of points tallied by Nikko Tenedorio for the men's volleyball team in their five-set win over No. 9 Vassar Wednesday. Tenedorio also had two aces, three blocks, and 11 digs, contributing to the Hawks' win.
6.0: The number of scoreless innings pitched by Michael Weed for SUNY New Paltz in their 3-1 victory over Cortland Saturday. Weed allowed seven hits but no earned runs, striking out three to help his team even the series.
34:45.85: The time set by Oliver Melara-Perez in the men's cross country 10,000-meter race, finishing fifth and recording the second-fastest time in program history at the Ramapo College T&F Invitational on Saturday, surpassing the previous mark.
55: Career number of stolen bases for Tommy Kreider, who became the program's all-time leader after surpassing the previous record of 52 held by Nick DiPietro since 2018 during the Hawks' 14-4 win over St. Joe's-Brooklyn Wednesday with three stolen bases in the victory.
100: The number of career hits Kelsey O'Brien surpassed after game one Saturday against Farmingdale, becoming the 16th player in program history to reach the milestone, and leaving her 28 hits away from cracking the top 10 all-time in New Paltz softball history.
