Cortland, NY — The State University of New York New Paltz earned their third 7-0 sweep of the season over conference opponent Fredonia State Saturday.
"Singles and doubles dominated on the court today. Another conference win under our belt" said SUNY New Paltz coach
Rob Bruley. "We're looking forward to a challenging match on Wednesday against RPI and concluding the SUNYAC matches next weekend."
Doubles: The Hawks swept doubles for the second time this weekend. The dynamic duo of
Justine Stanejko and
Sam Ostrander didn't let up a point winning their match 6-0.
Patrycja Filonik and
Olivia Kunz won their match 6-0 as well.
Singles: The Hawks we're on a roll with nine 6-0 sets, earning four matches without letting up a point. Stanejko,
Lula Brown-Vann, Filonik and
Sydney Sladicka won their matches 6-0 playing both outstanding offense and defense.
Ostrander won her first set 6-1 and her second 6-0.
Alex Krol won the final match of the day for the Hawks going 8-2 in a walkover.
The Hawks will be back home on Wednesday to host RPI at 3:00p.m. in New Paltz, NY.
