Ithaca, NY — The State University of New York New Paltz lost 1-0 against Ithaca College Saturday.
The Hawks dropped to 3-4 overall after suffering their second straight defeat, while the Bombers improved to 6-2.
SUNY New Paltz's offense struggled to find chances inside its circle Saturday. It totaled just six shots, two on target, while generating only three corners through 60 minutes of action. Freshman goalie

Gail Comiskey recovering from an injury, was the highlight. The Pine Bush, NY native registered a career-high seven saves on 14 shots faced.
The lone goal scored came in the opening minute of the second quarter, stemmed from a penalty corner for Ithaca as the hosts were able to tip in a shot from the insert.
The Bombers totaled 14 shots, nine on frame, with six shots coming in the second quarter as most of the match was played on SUNY New Paltz's defensive half. The Hawks tallied just one shot by halftime and added one more in the third before generating more opportunities in the final 15 minutes.

Ashley McGough.
Miranda Britton inserted to
Rachel Tama who ripped a shot that was blocked, but the result was another corner. This time, Eilzabeth Austin had the opportunity as Britton played the ball into the circle, but her attempt went wide.
Meghan Gunning had one last look on goal for the Hawks, but the attempt was saved by Ithaca's Maeve Clark (two saves).
Tama and McGough combined for four shots, two on goal, while Austin and Gunning tallied the only other attempts for SUNY New Paltz.
Sophia Bronzi helped in the defensive effort for the Hawks, registering a defensive save.
SUNY New Paltz is back in action Tuesday, going on the road to face Kean for a night game at 7:30 p.m.
