NEW PALTZ, NY — The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team were in action today for their second New Jersey Athletic Conference match. The Hawks played host to the visiting Pioneers of William Paterson University. The match was played on the North Courts located on the SUNY New Paltz Campus. The Hawks carried the day with a perfect score of 7-0 to remain perfect in match play this fall.
Our second NJAC contest saw us put on a very strong performance in both doubles and singles, coming out 7-0 winners. We had to change our singles lineup when Patrycja Filonik injured herself in the warm-up. This gave Alyssa Trokie an opportunity to start in our singles line, an opportunity she grasped with both hands winning 6-0, 6-0. An overwhelming performance today which should put us in a great frame of mind for our last game this semester at Kean to round out our last NJAC game of this semester." said Coach Rob Bruley.
The Hawks will cap off the fall portion of their season with an NJAC Match this Friday. The Hawks will head on the road to face Kean University in Union, NJ at 4:45 PM.
