Lakeland, FL— The State University of New York at New Paltz fell 6-1 to Southeastern University Wednesday afternoon.
"Our final game of our spring break trip saw us match up with number four in the country, Southeastern University" says coach
Rob Bruley. "Our number one and number two doubles teams were pushed all the way by Southeastern University and just came up a bit short in both matches. Our third doubles team, Genzone and Gabriel, continued their winning ways with a strong 6-2 victory. Our singles remained competitive. The highlight of the day was
Angelica Gabriel winning her match at sixth singles in a third set tiebreaker. Although we didn't win an overall match this spring break trip, the level of play was some of the highest that we have experienced and we gave a very good account of ourselves and remained very competitive throughout the week. This level of highly competitive opponents will set us up nicely for the upcoming spring season."
