GROUP FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS SPRING 2022

*SUNY New Paltz prides itself on teaching group fitness classes accessible to all participants despite fitness level or experience, all are welcomed to join in the Fun & Fitness*

*All classes will be offered LIVE and Virtual, please see the website for sign-up policy through IM Leagues*
 
Total Body Classes

  • BOOT CAMP: A blend of Strength, Cardio, Speed and Agility drills designed to make you faster, stronger!
  • CYCLE: Whether you're a beginner or old cycling pro this class is fun, powerful and moving!
  • MMA Fitness: Enjoy the fitness aspects of mixed martial arts and boxing in a non-competitive technique-based environment. A focus will be placed on drills and skills to enhance a mixed martial arts-based workout! Come ready to sweat!
  • Strength Training 101: Personal Trainer led class incorporating strength training, and cardio elements for a total body workout. Designed for all levels in mind and provides an excellent environment for someone new to the gym to get started!

 
MIND BODY CLASSES
*Use of Essential Oils and Musical Instruments may accompany our Mind/Body classes*

  • Yoga: Practitioners move closer to achieving vibrant health through exercises that focus on balance, effort, awareness and breath
 

DANCE FITNESS CLASSES

  • Zumba® Fitness: We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check.
  • Cardio Hip Hop: Enjoy easy to follow Hip Hop inspired dance routines! A classic SUNY New Paltz Group Exercise tradition!
  • Dance Fitness: A variety of hot music, killer moves, and interval training fused to create a great cardio workout.
  • Burlesque: Burlesque takes it off the stage and on to the dance floor! Drama, spice, and fitness allows participants to feel free to express themselves!
