SUNY New Paltz Athletics

Renae Cimillo enters her second year as an assistant on the SUNY New Paltz Field Hockey Team in 2024.

Cimillo began with the program prior to the 2023 season, working primarily with the goalkeepers. In 2023, goalies Gail Comiskey and Madison Orisini averaged a minimal 1.05-goals-against average with a .769 save percentage with the former ranking second best in the SUNYAC. 

Cimillo has coached for Dutchess Field Hockey, and prior to SUNY New Paltz, she worked as an assistant coach at Arlington High School for both the varsity and junior varsity field hockey programs.
 
Cimillo earned her degree at La Salle University where she starred for the Division I Explorers, earning National Academic All-American status and ECAC Scholar Athlete of the Year. A graduate of Lakeland High School, she was inducted into the Lakeland Athletics Hall of Fame following an illustrious career that saw her earn All-League, All-Section, All-County and All-State honors along with becoming a State Champion under legendary head coach Sharon Sarsen.
