Coach Dylan Neisler completed his second season at the helm of the State University of New York at New Paltz Men's Lacrosse program following the 2024 season.
In his inaugral season in 2023 as the head lacrosse coach, Neislar would go on and lead the Hawks to a historic season. He set program records in wins (8) and conference wins (4). The Hawks would make it to their first ever playoff game coming in as the fourth seed. He coached two players to All-SUNYAC honors.
Neisler, hired November 2022, became the second coach in program history, returning to a team he helped establish during its inception in 2019-20 alongside then head coach Dwayne Stewart. Neisler takes over for Stewart, whom he played for at Lincoln Memorial University from 2015-2018.
Prior to leading the Hawks men’s lacrosse program, Neisler was at the helm at Mitchell College in New London, Connecticut after spending two seasons at the College of Wooster. Neisler joined the Fighting Scots in 2021 as the team’s offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator before taking over as the interim head coach for the 2022 season where he led Wooster to six wins, including a 4-5 conference record.
Neisler’s first collegiate coaching experience came as a graduate assistant at Concordia Ann Arbor in August of 2018 before joining the Hawks staff in 2019, where he served as Stewart’s lead assistant aiding in all aspects of the program while being the team’s defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator.
Neisler, a native of Detroit, Michigan, graduated from Lincoln Memorial in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and minor in strength and conditioning. He went on to earn his master’s degree at Concordia Wisconsin in sports and entertainment business. Along with running the Hawks men’s lacrosse program, he coaches at NY Reign Lacrosse Club.
Neisler resides in New Paltz, NY and is an avid Detroit Red Wings fan and big Pokemon Go guy.
