Biography
2023: Started in all 15 games played…collected 43 ground balls and is tied for 2nd with 16 caused turnovers in a season…had 3 caused turnovers as well as a career high in ground balls with 9 against St Joe’s LI on March 29…earned a spot on the Hawks Academic Honor Roll for the fall 2022 semester.
2022: Started all 14 games… took three shots, one of them on goal for a shot-on-goal percentage of .333… ranked second on the team with 40 ground balls… led the team with 16 caused turnovers… earned a spot on the Hawks Academic Honor Roll for the fall 2021 and spring 2022 semesters.
2021: One of three Hawk players, along with Zachary Leung and John Reese, to both play in and start all seven games… led team in ground balls with 31, and finished second in caused turnovers with 9… won 10 of a team-high 24 face-offs… recorded 21 of his 31 ground balls in three games, with eight coming March 29 vs. Plattsburgh, seven vs. Potsdam April 16, and six April 5 at Potsdam.
High School Accolades: All-County Football 2018… Honorable Mention All-County Football 2019… Honorable Mention All-County Lacrosse 2019… Academic All-Conference Lacrosse 2019.
Personal: From Wantagh, NY… graduated from Seaford Senior High School in 2020… enjoy unicycling races, chess boxing, and enjoys the spicy and savory taste of Frank's Red Hot… son of Barbara and Steven Russell.
