Valle scored 10 points, grabbed four rebounds and picked up a career-high five steals in the New Paltz women’s basketball team’s NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship Tournament first round loss to No. 16 Babson College on Friday. Valle finishes her freshman campaign averaging 9.9 points and 8.1 rebounds, placing her second in the conference in rebounding. The Hawks finished the season with the most wins in program history (24) and their first-ever SUNYAC title before being defeated by Babson in their first trip to the NCAA Tournament.
