Hughes scored the only goal for the Hawks in a 1-1 draw with Skidmore College on Saturday. Hughes scored from in front off a 35-yard restart from junior defender Brian Spina to give the Hawks a first-half lead. New Paltz (0-3-2) returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 4 p.m., as it hosts Western Connecticut State University.
