Piliero won two individual events and participated on a winning relay in the Hawks' 169-92 home-opening victory over Vassar College on Saturday at Elting Pool. Piliero was the top finisher in both the 100 backstroke (57.12) and the 200 backstroke (2:04.17) in addition to swimming the backstroke leg of the Hawks' event-winning 200 medley relay that clocked a 1:43.56. He also swam the 100 butterfly as an exhibition event and clocked a 58.38. New Paltz (2-0) next competes at the MIT Invitational from Friday-Sunday, Dec. 5-7, in Cambridge, Mass.
