FORT MYERS, FL- The New Paltz softball team won their fourth straight game today as the swept a pair of games from Worcester State, 4-2 and an offensive shootout against Roger Williams in 9 innings, 13-12.
In the 4-2 victory over Worcester,
Courtney Costello pitched a complete game five hitter. She allowed two runs and struck out four on the day.
Rose Dovi was perfect from the plate going 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI and
Victoria Kyle was 1-for-3 with two runs scored for the Hawks.
In the nightcap, New Paltz and Roger Williams had slug fest in a 13-12 (9 innings) game.
Jillian Gallagher was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and
Samantha Barra was 4-for-5 with one run and three RBI for the Hawks. Casandra Barcavage was 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI and Dovi added two hits with three runs and five RBI.
Jenna Curcio added two hits and one run and one RBI as the Hawks improve to 6-4 overall.
Alyssa Oliva pitched nine innings and allowewd 12 runs, eight earned, on 17 hits and struck out six.
