STATEN ISLAND, NY- In a game where the rain never stopped and there was standing water all over the field, the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island defeated the Hawks, 7-0 Tuesday night. The Hawks fall to 7-5 overall and start conference play this weekend at Brockport on Saturday and Fredonia.

Steve Pinckney and Mike Sherlock# all had a hit a piece for the Hawks. Franco added his first triple of the year and
Joel Judson stole his seventh base of the year and is 7-for-7 to start the season.
Due to the weather and conference play starting this weekend, the Hawks coaching staff had the pitching staff on a pitch count.
Michael Pinnola recorded the loss on the mound, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out two in three innings.
Timmy Chelius pitched three innings allowing four runs on four hits and striking out two.
Chris Chismar finished the game on the mound, allowing one run on four hits and striking out five over two innings of work. The Hawks pitching staff struck out nine in the game compared to the three from the Dolphins pitching staff.
