BROCKPORT, NY- The New Paltz women's lacrosse team fell to the Golden Eagles of Brockport in the their conference opener, 29-5.  The Hawks fall to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the SUNYAC.  Brockport improves to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in the SUNYAC.

Julia Donato led the Hawks with two goals and one assist on the day.  Brittany Hunt, Gabrielle Dewey and Samantha DelGaudio each scored goal a piece.  Bridgitte Hooker, Brittany Bennett and Lauren Napolitano each had an assist.  Hooker added four groundballs and Margaret DeLauter had three.

Margaret DeLauter recorded the loss in net for the Hawks, allowing 29 goals and saving nine, while facing 46 shots.

Melissa Hill and Sarah Brown each scored five goals a piece, while Brown assisted on three and Hill on one for the Golden Eagles.  Dayna Piraino added four goals and three assists and Lindsay John also added four goals.

Jamie Kaminsky recorded the win in net for Brockport, allowing five goals and saving seven.

The Hawks return to action tomorrow against Geneseo at 1 p.m. on the campus of SUNY Geneseo.
