Northborough, MA — The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released its annual all-region teams Friday with Hawks senior attacker
Lexi Atwater becoming the program's second ever two-time recipient.
Atwater, who was the team's first, First-Team All-Empire Region pick a year ago, landed on the All-Empire Region list for the second consecutive year, earning a second team selection, to become just the second Hawk to notch the feat two times in their career, joining 2025 alumna
Kaitlyn Shaw.
Atwater finished her career with the Hawks by surpassing individual milestones in goals (73) and points (86) with her 73 goals marking the most in single season history surpassing the previous mark of 70 set by Shaw, while Atwater's 86 points is the second most in single season program history. In her career, Atwater has totaled 209 goals, 28 assists for 237 points, becoming just the third Hawk to ever cross the 200-point threshold for their career joining Shaw and 2012 alumna Samantha DelGaudio.
The two-time SUNYAC Attacker of the Year led SUNY New Paltz is multiple statistical categories on the year including goals, points, shots (145) and shots on goal (113), while tallying 61 draw controls, 13 assists, 38 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.
Atwater was joined on the All-Empire Region list among six others from the SUNYAC including first team selections Alexis Hill (Oswego), Bridie McGuire (Cortland), Ashley Melillo (Cortland) and second team selections Lexi Caron (Cortland), Sydney Elizalde (Cortland) and Aubri Greene (Oswego).
