Baseball Falls to Old Westbury

The New Paltz baseball team fell to SUNY Old Westbury by the score of 8-1 Thursday night.  The Hawks fall to 17-13 overall and return to action on Saturday in a key match-up with conference rival Oneonta starting at 12 p.m. on Loren Campbell Field.

Paul Merola and Michael Pinnola had the Hawks only hits, as both were 2-for-4 with Merola scoring one run and Pinnola having the RBI.

Brett Harrison recorded the loss on the mound, allowing three runs on eight hits and struck out three in six innings.  Timmy Chelius pitched the final two innings and allowed five runs on eight hits.
