The New Paltz softball team fell in a doubleheader to Union this evening 7-5 in game one and 8-0 in six innings in game two. The Hawks fall to 13-11 overall and return to the field tomorrow against Fredonia at 3 p.m.
In game one,
Victoria Kyle and
Melissa Liotta were each 2-for-4 from the plate, including one RBI for Kyle.
Erin Fitzpatrick finished 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI and
Samantha Barra was 2-for-3 with one run.
Gillian Davidoff recorded the loss on the mound, allowing three runs, three earned, on four hits and walked two.
In the nightcap, Barra was the lone Hawk to record a hit.
Alyssa Oliva recorded the loss on the mound, allowing five runs, four earned, on five hits and struck out two in five innings.
