Women’s Lacrosse Bolts Past Bard

NEW PALTZ, NY- The New Paltz women's lacrosse team improved to 3-8 on the season with a 21-1 victory over the Bard College Raptors Thursday evening on the Turf Field.  Bard falls to 1-9 overall.  The Hawks had 14 different players tally a goal in the game.  The Hawks outshot Bard 36-6 and held a 32-11 in groundballs.

Samantha DelGaudio led Hawks with nine team points, including three goals and Brittany Bennett scored a hat-trick with four groundballs added to her tallies.  Julianne Rehain, Courtney Neenan and Erica Cummings all tallied two goals.  Nine other players scored a goal a piece, while Erin Tornatore added three assists and Brittany Hunt had two.

Margaret DeLauter recorded the win in net, allowing one goal and stopping two shots in 42:49 minutes played.  Stefanie Mignone played the final 17:11 and saved two shots.

Bridgette Reddington scored the lone goal for the Raptors with 30 seconds to go in the first half.

Hannah Becker recorded the loss in net, allowing 21 goals and saving eight.
