NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's lacrosse team (5-4, 0-2 SUNYAC) hung tough throughout, but it could not keep up down the stretch, as the Hawks fell, 19-11, to The College at Brockport (4-3, 2-1 SUNYAC) in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action Saturday afternoon at the Turf Field.

The blue and orange scored the equalizer at 23:39 when senior midfielder

Brockport outshot New Paltz, 43-21, and held the advantage in ground balls, 22-16. The Hawks took care of the ball on transition, going 9-of-12 on clear attempts, and the Golden Eagles matched that success by successfully clearing 15-of-17.
