ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's swimming team (5-0) continued to roll through its dual-meet schedule, topping SUNY Geneseo (3-5) and the Rochester Institute of Technology (4-3) after the second day of a two-day tri-meet at RIT on Saturday. The Hawks edged Geneseo, 180.5-159.5, and topped RIT, 251-102.

Carly Marshall (Cornwall, N.Y./Cornwall Central) and junior
Victoria Scalise (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) covered the race in an event-best 4:07.53 to begin the session, and the squad of freshmen
Ella Graffin (Ithaca, N.Y./Ithaca) and
Cassidy Griger (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown Central), senior
Katina Lown and Suzuka closed out the meet with a second-place performance of 3:44.94 in the 400 freestyle relay.
Junior
Chelsea Allocco (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) was a double-event winner individually for New Paltz, placing first in the 400 individual medley (4:50.81) and the 500 freestyle (5:16.54). Scalise had a strong meet, too, taking first in the 100 freestyle (54.29) and second in the 50 freestyle (25.10), while Marshall and Suzuka finished first in the 200 butterfly (2:14.29) and the 200 backstroke (2:13.16), respectively.
In addition, Griger placed second in both the 200 freestyle (1:59.32) and the 500 freestyle (5:17.05).
New Paltz returns to Elting Pool on Friday, Jan. 18, as it takes on SUNY Cortland at 4 p.m.
