Mahwah, NJ – The State University of New York at New Paltz swimming program competed against soon to be conference opponent, Ramapo College afternoon. The women fell 161 to 83 and the men lost 143 to 104. 
 
The women's 200-yard medley relay team Sophia Bucci, Brianna Law, Alexis Egbert and Erin Donovan touched second with a time of 2:06.20. The men's team of Jack Samko, Deniz Gurcan, Hayden Brock and Antonio Vavalle placed second in the 200-yard medley relay as well as well with a time of 1:46.19. 
 
Annabella Perez Salvi touched fourth in the women's 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 14:20.47. Vavalle touched second in the men's heat with a time of 11:04.62.
 
Bucci touched second in the women's 200 free with a time of 2:13.16. Sebastian Maldonado touched third for the men with a 2:03.96, followed by Brock with a 2:08.00.
 
Bucci touched fourth in the 100 back with a time of 1:16.37, followed by Linsay Perez-Lopez with a 1:40.17. In the men's heat Max Ceasar placed third with a 1:04.72 and Mickey Leach touched fourth with a 1:06.39. 
 
Law earned second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:17.78. Donovan touched third with a time of 1:19.66. Gurcan touched first, earning the men's heat with a time of 1:06.51.
 
Madeleine Tothero touched second in the women's 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:45.98, followed by Athena Sage placing third with a time of 3:01.13.  Brock touched second in the event with a time of 2:16.78. Dylan Esposito touched fourth with a time of 2:25.74. 
 
Law earned second again the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 28.57. Jade Fontanez earned fourth with a 30.03 and Perez Salvi touched fifth with a time of 32.46. Samko touched second with a time of 22.81. Nicholas Ahlborn came in third with a 23.81.
 
Egbert touched second in the 100 free with a time of 1:00.30. In the men's heat Brock (52.77) touched second and Ahlborn (55.79) touched third. 
 
Donovan touched second in the 200 breast with a time of 2:47.46. Gurcan earned first in his second race of the day with a time of 2:26.11 in the men's 200 breast. 
 
Bucci earned second in the 500 freestyle with a 6:02.39 and Vavalle finished second in the men's heat with a 5:17.80. Esposito followed Vavalle, touching third with a 5:41.92. 
 
Egbert (1:04.90) touched second in the 100 fly, and Samko (55.03) earned first in the men's heat. 
 
Donovan touched first in the women's 200-yard individual medley with a 2:33.50, followed by Tothero with a 2:45.01. Gurcan touched first for the men with a 2:11.57, followed by Leach (2:27.37) and Esposito (2:28.34) respectively. 
 
Perez Salvi, Tothero, Law and Egbert placed first in the 200-yard freestyle releay with a time of 1:55.69. The men's team of Ahlborn, Samko, Maldonado and Vavalle also earned first, with a time of 1:34.11.
 
The Hawks return home on Jan. 31^st to host Oneonta State at 1p.m. in Elting Pool.
