FINAL SCORES
New Paltz, NY – The State University at New Paltz swimming program fell to Skidmore College at home in dual meet Friday afternoon. The women lost 210 to 45 while the men fell 168 to 89.
The women's 200-yard medley relay team of
Jaina Bischof,
Erin Donovan,
Madeleine Tothero and
Alexis Egbert placed third with a time of 2:05.27. The men's team consisting of
Jack Samko,
Alex Gorzula,
Deniz Gurcan and
Nicholas Ahlborn placed second with a time of 1:43.23.
Sophia Bucci finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:19.81.
Antonio Vavalle took first in the men's heat with a time of 10:36.83.
Jayme Fink and Bischof finished fourth and fifth in the 200 free with a time of 2:23.96 and 2:27.70, respectively. Gorzula finished first in the men's heat with a time of 1:48.62.
Bucci placed fourth in the 100 back with a time of 1:13.45.
Mickey Leach touched third for the men with a time of 1:06.00 followed by teammate
Sebastian Maldonado with a 1:06.63.
Donovan touched third in the women's 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:18.08. Gurcan touched second for the men with a time of 1:05.21.
Egbert touched second in the women's 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:26.99. Samko and
Hayden Brock touched second and third. Samko touched the wall with a time of 2:08.58, followed by Brock with a 2:21.60.
Jade Fontanez touched fourth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 29.97. Ahlborn touched third for the men with a time of 24.11, followed by Samko in fifth with a time of 24.81.
Vavalle touched second for the men in the 100-yard free with a time of 50.90. Brock touched with a time of 53.11, earning fourth in the heat.
Gorzula touched first in the men's 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:21.76. Gurcan touched third with a time of 2:25.34.
Kiara Walsh touched fourth for the Hawks in the 500 with a time of 6:39.25. Vavalle touched third with a time of 5:19.43.
Egbert touched second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:04.86. Gurcan touched second for the men with a time of 57.65.
Donovan touched second in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:33.68. Fink touched fourth with a time of 2:38.63. Gorzula touched first with a time of 2:00.14.
The team of Ahlborn, Samko, Brock and Vavalle touched second for the men in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The men touched with a time of 1:31.88.
The Hawks will be back in the pool on December 5
th at 5:00pm for the Cortland Invite.
