RECORDS: The Hawks enter Tuesday night's game with a 2-6 overall mark and 0-2 in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) play... New Paltz lost both of its conference openers against SUNY Fredonia and Buffalo State this past weekend… Hamilton has a 4-4 record, having defeated Alfred University, 66-46, last Friday evening... Hamilton will not begin New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) competition until Jan. 10, 2014 at Amherst College.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS (2-6, 0-2): The Hawks look to rebound from SUNYAC losses to Fredonia and Buffalo State this past weekend… Both games followed a similar pattern with New Paltz falling behind early in the game and working diligently to forge a comeback… Against Fredonia, forward

Ashley Riefenhauser had a proficient afternoon, scoring a career-high 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from three-point distance.

TEAM STATISTICS: The Hawks rank second in the SUNYAC in offensive rebounding (14.5 rpg)… Opponents shoot just 65 percent from the free throw line, fourth best mark in the conference… The Hawks rank fifth in steals per game (10.1).
SCOUTING THE CONTINENTALS (4-4, 0-0 NESCAC): The Continentals scored the first eight points and led the entire way in registering a 66-46 non-conference road win over Alfred University last Friday evening… Four Hamilton players scored in double figures, though none tallied more than 12 points... Freshman forward Florence Turiaf scored 12 points, while junior sophomore guard Serena Ward earned her 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting from three-point range… Sophomore guard/forward Samantha Graber finished with 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds… Hamilton, which entered last week ranked 16th in Division III in 3-pointers made per game, was 8-of-17 (47 percent) from long range against Alfred.
STATISTICAL LEADERS: Graber leads the team in scoring (17.4 ppg), which ranks second in the NESCAC… She is followed by senior guard Dani Feigin (10.5 ppg) and Ward (10.4 ppg)… Senior forward Olivia Pimm (8.6 rpg, fifth in the NESCAC) and Graber (7.9 rpg), lead in rebounding.
TEAM STATISTICS: The Continentals rank sixth in both scoring (63.8 ppg) and defense (60.0 ppg) in the NESCAC.
LAST MEETING: Played at the Hawk Center on Dec. 11, 2012… In their last game of the semester, the Hawks kept perfect on the season (9-0, 4-0 SUNYAC) with a 52-43 victory over Hamilton… Impressively, the Hawks closed out the 2012 calendar year with a 24-2 overall mark and an 11-game winning streak at home.
