NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz Department of Athletics, Wellness & Recreation has announced schedule changes due to impending rain that is in the forecast for tomorrow, Friday, April 12. The softball, baseball and women's tennis teams will be affected by the storm.
4/13 update (9 a.m.): Softball's State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) doubleheader against The College at Brockport scheduled for 12 p.m. at Mary Gray Deane Field has been pushed back to 2 p.m. due to wet field conditions. Women's lacrosse's SUNYAC game against Brockport at the Turf Field at 1 p.m. and women's tennis' non-conference match against Union (N.Y.) College at the North Tennis Courts at 1 p.m. will go on as scheduled.
Softball's SUNYAC doubleheader against SUNY Geneseo slated for 3 p.m. on Friday has now been moved to 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 14, at Mary Gray Deane Field.
Baseball's SUNYAC three-game series at SUNY Fredonia has been completely altered due to the forecasted weather on Friday. Instead of playing one game on Friday and two games on Saturday, the two teams will play a 12 p.m. doubleheader on Sunday and a single 3 p.m. game on Monday.
Finally, women's tennis' home non-conference match against Ithaca College on Friday that was set for 3:30 p.m. has been postponed, and a make-up date has not yet been announced.
