NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz men's swimming team looks to put one in the win column on Friday, Jan. 17, as the Hawks take on SUNY Cortland in Cortland, N.Y.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS (4-1): New Paltz split with the Rochester Institute of Technology and SUNY Geneseo in a tri-meet hosted by Geneseo from Friday-Saturday, Jan. 10-11, as the Hawks downed RIT, 216-147, but lost to the Knights, 204-143... Senior
Chelsea Allocco keyed the Hawks with four individual event wins... Allocco touched first in the 200 individual medley (2:17.87), the 1,650 freestyle (18:08.52), the 400 individual medley (4:49.73) and the 500 freestyle (5:16.02)... Allocco competed on the Hawks' second-place 800 freestyle relay (8:08.80), splitting a 1:58.47 as the third leg... She was joined on that relay by sophomore

SCOUTING THE RED DRAGONS (2-3): Cortland posted a 170-124 victory over Hartwick College on Sunday, Jan. 12, in Cortland, N.Y... Senior Chrisanna Hickey won three individual events, touching first in the 200 butterfly (2:13.87), the 100 butterfly (1:01.47) and the 200 individual medley (2:17.67)... Freshman Angelica Ford won the 100 backstroke (1:03.74) and 200 backstroke (2:16.57), and senior Sarah Culmo turned in victories in the 50-yard freestyle (25.67) and 100-yard freestyle (56.38)... Sophomore Miranda Fergus won both diving events; she scored 243.00 points on the 1-meter board and 264.30 points on the 3-meter board.
LAST MEETING: New Paltz downed Cortland, 148-111, when the two teams last met on Jan. 18, 2013.
