NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's swimming team will travel to State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) opponent Geneseo on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 12 p.m.
RECORDS: The Hawks are 6-0 in dual meets this year after defeating Mount Saint Mary on Friday, 115-87, and Oneonta on Saturday, 142-120… Geneseo is 9-2 after defeating Oswego 184-89 on Saturday.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS (6-0): On Friday night, New Paltz won both relays and added five individual event victories in win over Mount Saint Mary at Kaplan Center Pool… Freshman
Molly McCulloch was a double event winner for the Hawks, first in both the 50 freestyle (25.76) and the 100 freestyle (56.62)… Nine other individuals touched first including the threesome of juniors

Kyrstin Gallagher finished in 4:18.79 in the 400 medley relay… On Saturday against Oneonta, McCulloch took first in the 100 backstroke (1:03. 52) and established a pool record in the 100 butterfly (58.33)... Subsequently, McCulloch was named both SUNYAC Female Swimmer of the Week and Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Upstate Women's Swimmer of the Week... Junior
Cassidy Griger won the 200 freestyle (2:01.08) and the 100 freestyle (56.20)… Freshman
Megan Joseph posted the top time in the 200 medley relay (1:53.83).
SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS (9-2): On Saturday, senior Abigail Max won three individual events to lead the Knights to a 184-89 victory at Oswego... Max logged the fastest time of the day in the 200 butterfly (2:13.58), the 200 backstroke (2:13.94) and the 100 butterfly (59.83)... Sophomore Louisa Seelbach touched first in both the 50 freestyle (25.69) as well as the 500 freestyle (5:32.57)… A number of Knights won individual events including junior Julie Holloway in the 200 freestyle (2:01.40), Sophie deFreitas in the 1,650 freestyle (18:31.47), freshman Kaitlin Doherty in the 100 backstroke (1:05.02), and senior Eileen Goralski in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.24).
LAST DUAL MEET WITH GENESEO: The Hawks lost to the Knights 204-143 when these two teams last met on Jan. 11, 2014.
WHAT'S NEXT: The Hawks will compete at the first day of the SUNYAC Championships on Thursday, Jan. 19...The Knights prepare for the Geneseo Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 12 p.m.
