Meet ResultsGENESEO, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's swimming team fell, 151-103, to SUNY Geneseo on Saturday at Alumni Pool in its final tune-up before the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships.
Junior
Cassidy Griger (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown Central) and junior
Maggie Heaton (New Milford, Conn./New Milford) each won individual events for the Hawks. Griger touched first in the 100 freestyle (55.18) and Heaton posted an event-best 1:02.17 in the 100 butterfly.
New Paltz finishes its dual-meet season at 6-1 overall with the loss and next competes at the SUNYAC Championships from Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 19-21, at Erie Community College's Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center in Buffalo, N.Y. Geneseo ends its dual-meet season at 10-2 and hosts the Geneseo Invitational next on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 12 p.m.

Megan Joseph (Hauppauge, N.Y./Hauppauge) scored first-place points in the 400 individual medley (4:54.86), as Geneseo marked all its entries as exhibition. The Hawks' 200 freestyle relay quartet of Griger, freshman
Molly McCulloch (Rome, N.Y./Holland Patent) and juniors
Ella Graffin (Ithaca, N.Y./Ithaca) and
Krista VerMeersch (Newark, N.Y./Newark) also scored first-place points with a time of 1:42.54 as a result of the Knights marking their entries as exhibition in the event.
Second-place finishes came from Griger in the 200 freestyle (1:59.84), senior
Samantha Granan (Hyde Park, N.Y./Franklin D. Roosevelt) in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.80) and junior
Kim Kallansrude (Muttontown, N.Y./Jericho) in the 200 butterfly (2:18.50).
