Meet ResultsNEW YORK – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's swimming team finished third out of three teams with 413 points following the second and final day of the NYU Fall Invitational on Saturday hosted at New York University's Palladium Athletic Facility.
Host NYU finished atop the team standings with 823 points, while the Stevens Institute of Technology placed second with 520 points.
New Paltz returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m. as it hosts Pace University in its final home meet of the 2015 calendar year. The Hawks have two home dual meets slated during the 2016 portion of their schedule.
The Hawks had several highlights on day two, with one of the biggest ones of the day coming in the meet's final event, the 400 freestyle relay. New Paltz's quartet of freshmen
Kaleigh O'Halloran (Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) and
Katie Donlevy (Bayside, N.Y./The Mary Louis Academy), junior
Aimee Del Favero (Auburn, N.Y./Home School) and senior
Cassidy Griger (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown Central) finished second in the event, charting a time of 3:44.04. In the process, the foursome topped Stevens' "A" and "B" relays as well as NYU's "B" relay.

Molly McCulloch (Rome, N.Y./Holland Patent) and Griger kicked off the morning session with a third-place finish in the 200 medley relay (1:55.36), while freshman
Jaimie Kaefer (North Bellmore, N.Y./W.C. Mepham), Donlevy, O'Connor and Griger combined to place fourth in the 800 freestyle relay (8:12.37).
Kaefer boasted the swim of the weekend individually, finishing second in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:47.00. Also in the 400 individual medley, sophomore
Megan Joseph (Hauppauge, N.Y./Hauppauge) placed seventh (4:56.42), while junior
Ann Fici (Hauppauge, N.Y./Hauppauge) took 10th (5:02.11). In the 100 butterfly, senior
Maggie Heaton (New Milford, Conn./New Milford) charted a seventh-place time of 1:01.71, while McCulloch and senior
Kim Kallansrude (Muttontown, N.Y./Jericho) finished ninth (1:03.30) and 10th (1:03.77), respectively.
Griger and Donlevy each fared well in the 200 freestyle, with Griger finishing sixth (1:59.58) and Donlevy taking seventh (2:02.34). O'Connor and O'Halloran placed 10th in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.79) and the 100 backstroke (1:03.44), respectively, while Fici (19:11.59, fifth) and freshman
Degen Mariniello (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) (19:52.08, sixth) finished in sequence in the 1,650 freestyle.
O'Connor (2:18.80, eighth) and senior
Ella Graffin (Ithaca, N.Y./Ithaca) (2:21.35, ninth) powered New Paltz in the 200 backstroke, while Griger (55.77, eighth) and O'Halloran (56.65, 10th) led the way in the 100 freestyle.
