NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The 2015 season begins for the State University of New York at New Paltz baseball team as the Hawks travel to No. 22 Randolph-Macon College on Thursday, March 12 at 2 p.m.
 
RECORDS: New Paltz finished 2014 with a 14-22, 6-12 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC)… The Yellow Jackets are 8-1 this year, going 5-0 at home.
 

19874SCOUTING THE HAWKS (0-0): New Paltz is under the guidance of second-year head coach Matt Righter… The Hawks return five of their top six leaders in batting average from last season in Shaun Hansen, Tyler Bell, Andrew DiNardo, Stanley DeLaCruz and Mike SparacinoRichard Guido led the Hawks with 16 runs scored, 17 stolen bases seven hit by pitches and three triples in 2014… DiNardo was second on the squad with 32 hits, 38 total bases and 13 walks… Hansen led the way with 10 doubles and a .449 slugging percentage… Bell recorded a team-high 15 RBI… Roy Missall recorded a team-low 1.40 ERA in 19 1/3 innings and led the team with a .200 batting average against… Christian Huertas led the team with three saves in 39 innings… Huertas also earned two wins and put together a 2.54 ERA… Brian Solomon was second on the team with 27 strikeouts.

Williamson has earned two saves… Williamson was named to D3baseball.com Team of the Week for his performance...
