NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz baseball team is set to travel to SUNY Fredonia this weekend, April 10-11 in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) three-game series at North Collins High School.
 
RECORDS: New Paltz is 3-13 overall and 0-6 in SUNYAC play… Fredonia is 7-9 overall and 2-1 in SUNYAC action.
 

21137SCOUTING THE HAWKS (3-13, 0-6): New Paltz was scheduled to host SUNY Oneonta on Wednesday, April 8 but the contest was postponed due to rain... The Hawks were swept in a three-game series by SUNY Oswego from April 4-5… In the first game on Saturday, New Paltz recorded seven hits as junior shortstop Andrew DiNardo notched two hits and one RBI… Sophomore outfielder Andrew Martini came through with a pinch-hit RBI single… Junior catcher Taylor Anderson and freshman utility Jake Williams scored runs for the Hawks… Four pitchers threw for New Paltz in game one… In game two, Williams went 3-for-4 with a double and RBI… Anderson chipped in two hits and two runs… Four pitchers appeared in game two… In the series finale, senior third baseman Mike Sparacino accounted for the team's lone hit.

2940SCOUTING THE BLUE DEVILS (7-9, 2-2): Fredonia picked up its second SUNYAC win of the season on Tuesday at Brockport, defeating the Golden Eagles 7-6… Junior right-hander Zach Jordon threw seven innings; giving up one run and striking out two to earn his fourth win of the year… Senior first baseman Ricky Mendiola went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in the third, his second long ball of the year… Junior closer Jake Harford earned his second save of the season… Senior outfielder Kenny Johnston finished 2-for-2 with a double and walk… Senior reliever Joe DiLeo also appeared out of the bullpen.
