NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's lacrosse team is set to host Mount Saint Mary College in a non-conference matchup on Thursday, April 16 at 4:30 p.m. on the Old Turf Field.
 
RECORDS: The Hawks are 2-8 overall and 0-3 at home… The Knights are 7-5 overall and 3-3 away.
 

21137SCOUTING THE HAWKS (2-8): The Hawks are coming off a 12-7 loss to Vassar College on Tuesday… New Paltz fell behind early with Vassar scoring four unanswered goals… The Hawks responded with four unanswered goals of their own to tie the game at 4-4… Vassar took a short-lived 7-4 lead, but the Hawks tied the game at 7-7 with back-to-back goals from senior midfielder Carissa Citro and senior defender Julia Johnson… Vassar immediately scored, but Johnson again tied up the game at 8-8… In the last 15 minutes, the Hawks were unable to shut down Vassar's offense as the Brewers scored four more goals… Johnson and Melissa Wagner led the Hawks offense with two goals each… Alexa Vitale, Citro, Lianne Valdivia and Kelsey Healy finished the game with a goal apiece… Valdivia recorded four ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers… Senior goalkeeper Jacqueline Ulanoff made 14 saves in the loss.

5834SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS (7-5):  The Knights enter Thursday's game coming off a three-game run of scoring 20 points in each contest… The Knights defeated Sage College this past Tuesday 20-6 and have secured a playoff position in the Skyline Conference… Junior midfielder Nicole Scicutella set the single-season assist record with 19… Scicutella had two goals, four assists, and six points… Sophomore attacker Fae Kuhnen tallied three goals and an assist… Sophomore attacker Katie Gattoni added three goals and an assist… Junior defender Claire Duffy scored three goals and secured 10 draw controls… The team controlled 20 of 26 draws and recorded 13 ground balls.
