NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz baseball team is set to host SUNY Plattsburgh this weekend, April 18-19 in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC three-game series at Cantine Park in Saugerties, N.Y.
RECORDS: New Paltz is 4-17 overall and 1-9 in SUNYAC action… The Cardinals are 10-14 overall and 5-7 in the SUNYAC.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS (4-17, 1-9): The Hawks dropped a long, 13-inning battle 4-2 to SUNY Oneonta on Wednesday night… Senior right-hand pitcher

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS (10-14, 5-7): The Plattsburgh baseball team split with the Oneonta Red Dragons on Tuesday afternoon… In game one, the Cardinals were downed 11-2… Oneonta sent 10 men to the plate in the top of the first inning, collecting six hits and seven runs scored… Three of the Cardinals' six hits were in the bottom of the first… Senior Mike Vargues nailed an inside-the-park home run in the bottom of the fourth… Senior Brian Latulipe reached base three times in the first game, going 2-for-3 while drawing a walk… Senior Frank Buksa finished game one with three RBI… In game two, a 21-hit performance secured the 14-1 Cardinals victory… 11 different Plattsburgh players finished the day with a hit and five enjoyed multi-hit outings….
