SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The State University of New York at New Paltz women's swimming team placed second out of three teams as the Hawks opened their 2016-17 season at the Union Relays on Friday afternoon.
New Paltz finished with 130 points, while the host Dutchwomen earned first-place with 150 points. Bard College took third with 28 points.
The Hawks took home top points in four relay events, including a 1:58.48 200 yard medley performance by freshman
Chelsea Angulas (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego Free Academy), juniors
Megan Joseph (Happauge, N.Y./Happauge) and
Molly McCulloch (Rome, N.Y./Holland Patent), and sophomore
Kaleigh O'Halloran (Sayville, N.Y./Sayville).
The Hawks are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 29 when they travel to Ramapo College for their first dual meet of the season.
