SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The State University of New York at New Paltz field hockey team fell 2-0 at No. 16 Skidmore on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.

The Hawks move to 4-2 on the year and will travel to Brockport on Friday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. for State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) play.

Junior goalkeeper Megan Gangewere (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area) made 13 stops for New Paltz but surrendered a goal in both the first and second halves of play. Gangewere has three double-digit save performances this season so far.

The Hawks managed six shots on the day, with three being on target against a strong Thoroughbred (4-1) defense. Junior forward Justine O'Reilly (West Sayville, NY/Sayville) led the team with two shots.
