The State University of New York at New Paltz will be hosting their first ever prospect day for men's lacrosse on Sunday, Nov. 25.
As the program prepares for their inaugural season in the spring of 2020, head
coach Dwayne Stewart is on the look out for student-athletes graduating in 2019 and 2020. "This will be a once in a lifetime experience. A chance to be apart of the first round of prospects of a fresh program here at New Paltz," the new coach said.
Stewart, a former Division I lacrosse athlete at the University of Albany, coached for the last four years at Lincoln Memorial University. Stewart also participated in the men's lacrosse International World Games, playing for the Jamaican National team last summer. Stewart is a respected coach and is prepared to better student-athletes on and off the field.
For those interested, the cost is $85 per player. The clinic will run from 12:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., with the day beginning with check ins, followed by warm ups and technical drills, leading up to a scrimmage. Playing time will run until 2:00 p.m. "You will get as close to a real life experience of New Paltz as you can get," said Stewart.
