SUNY New Paltz Men's Basketball Drops Regular Season Finale Against Plattsburgh State
Box Score Plattsburgh, NY — The State University of New York at New Paltz men's basketball team dropped its regular season finale Saturday on the road against Plattsburgh State, 102-69.

The Cardinals (20-4 overall, 17-1 SUNYAC) who went into the game having already clinched the top seed in the SUNYAC tournament, had a prolific offensive first-half, scoring 58 points on 56.8 percent shooting from the floor, including 45.8 percent from 3.
Their hot start gave them a 33-point cushion at the break. The Hawks (7-18, 4-14) matched Plattsburgh State's offense in the second half, but just couldn't overcome the large deficit.
SUNY New Paltz boosted its shooting percentage to 47 percent in the second half, and finished 36.8 percent of its shots in the game, including 33.3 percent from the arc.
Brandon Guest led the Hawks with 13 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the field, while adding two assists and two steals and was a rebound shy of collecting his fourth double-double of the season.
Tristan Wissemann and
James Saunders followed Guest offensively for SUNY New Paltz, with 10 points apiece. Wissemann shot 4-for-10 from the floor and added four rebounds in 18 minutes, while Saunders made 5-for-9 and added two rebounds.
