New Paltz, NY -- After earning its first spot in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) tournament last season, the State University of New York at New Paltz women's lacrosse team are determined to make another statement once again in 2020.
The Hawks, who are led by third-year head coach Keith Detelj, will begin their season on the North Turf Field for three games as they host Utica College (Feb. 29), St. Joseph's College-Long Island (March 4) and Hartwick College (March 7). 
SUNY New Paltz will then go on the road for five matchups, including a trip to Colorado, up until the end of spring break, as it travels to Stockton University (March 10), Farmingdale State (March 12), Colorado College (March 15), Johnson and Wales University-Denver Campus (March 18), before beginning SUNYAC play at Plattsburgh State (March 21).
The Hawks return to campus for a pair of SUNYAC matchups when they welcome Catskill Cup rival SUNY Oneonta (March 25) and Buffalo State (March 28). SUNY New Paltz travels to SUNY Geneseo (April 4) before welcoming SUNY Potsdam (April 8) and The College at Brockport (April 11).
The Hawks will conclude their regular season on the road when they pay a visit to Oswego State (April 18), SUNY Cortland (April 22) and Fredonia (April 25).
The SUNYAC tournament is scheduled to begin April 28 for first round matchups with the semifinal and championship games played on the campus of SUNY Geneseo May 1 and May 2, respectively.
