Virginia Beach, VA – The State University of New York at New Paltz softball team season opener has been delayed, as the Hawks' originally scheduled opening weekend at the Virginia Beach Blast Tournament has been canceled due to inclement weather.

SUNY New Paltz, which is coming off a 14-21-1 overall 2018 season, was set to compete against Hunter College, Keuka College, Rhode Island College and William Peace University March 8 and 9, but has been canceled due to abnormally cold weather down in Virginia Beach. No re-scheduled dates has been set.
