Jahna Beiling entered the State University of New York at New Paltz as a freshman in 2017 and helped build the program to its best season to-date in 2019. She became a leader on the field, named team MVP in 2018 and 2020 and earned Second-Team All-SUNYAC honors after guiding SUNY New Paltz to its winningest record of 8-8 overall and its first playoff appearance during her junior campaign. Beiling currently sits second all-time in Hawks history in caused turnovers and would have likely surpassed the most ever (85) if the 2020 season wasn't cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, Beiling excelled in the classroom and earned a spot on the SUNYAC Commissioner's Honor Roll the past two seasons, Dean's List from fall 2016 to fall 2019 and was enshrined in the Chi Alpha Sigma National Honor Society as a Marketing major.Â
Through her experiences as a Hawk, Beiling talked about why there is only one SUNY New Paltz.

"Going to college at SUNY New Paltz was an amazing experience. Everyone who attends this school becomes a part of something much more — a family. I have been able to form strong and unlikely friendships and have created memories I will never forget. Everyone involved in our athletic department is extremely supportive of one another. We all enjoy cheering each other on. There are new initiatives and events each year and it is clear that the students and faculty are passionate about what they are doing. The students at this school have a unique drive to grow and better themselves. I enjoyed being a part of a student body that wanted to make a difference with their work. What makes New Paltz truly special is how proud we all are to represent our school."
